General Info

Solo Brew & Roasters, located at 13528 Nomwaket Rd Unit B, Apple Valley, CA 92308, is a hidden gem for those who truly appreciate handcrafted coffee and a welcoming atmosphere. This local roastery stands out as one of the few remaining places in the High Desert where coffee is treated with the respect it deserves—bold, flavorful, and never overshadowed by artificial notes.

What sets this spot apart is its dedication to authenticity. All syrups and flavor infusions are made in-house, giving every latte or tea a distinctive touch. The café curates a rotating monthly menu, allowing guests to discover new flavor pairings regularly, alongside a permanent menu that includes unique favorites such as the charcoal latte and the maple salt latte. For those who prefer less sweetness, the baristas are happy to customize each drink, ensuring every cup matches personal taste.

The coffee beans themselves are thoughtfully roasted, offering profiles that range from earthy, dark roasts with subtle fruit notes to smoother blends with balanced acidity. Coffee lovers will find the pricing surprisingly reasonable for such high quality, making it easy to bring home freshly roasted beans.

Complementing the drinks, Solo Brew & Roasters offers a small but delightful selection of pastries and baked goods. Among the highlights is the vegan cinnamon roll, a treat so popular it tends to sell out quickly. The attention to detail extends beyond coffee and pastries—the service is warm and personable, with owners who remember their guests and create an atmosphere where customers feel like part of a community.

The shop itself is cozy yet vibrant, with an atmosphere that feels more like a specialty café in Los Angeles than a spot tucked away in Apple Valley. While mornings and weekends may bring lines due to the handcrafted, made-to-order approach, many find that the care put into each drink is worth the wait.

With its handcrafted quality, welcoming spirit, and dedication to creativity, Solo Brew & Roasters has become more than just a coffee shop—it’s a local gathering place that celebrates both coffee culture and community.

What customers say?

“ Great coffee house! The coffee is delicious, we purchased a Peanut Butter latte and Mocha Latte!!! The only downfall was …… I should have purchased the large size! lol… definitely coming back! ”

“ Possibly the last roaster in the High Desert, and maybe the only place remaining where the coffee tastes like coffee. All the syrups and flavors are made in-house. There is a rotating monthly menu of flavored lattes and teas where the advantage of this really shines through. If you take your coffee a less sweet, they will happily accommodate you, just ask. Otherwise the lattes are on the sweeter side. I enjoy the coffee itself a lot. The darker roasts are earthy with some dark fruit notes, some acidic qualities without tasting burned, and the beans are very reasonably priced. The baked goods are delightful when they're available. I recommend the vegan cinnamon roll. They sell out fast, though. And a word of caution, this place is run by exactly two people making your drink to order, in the mornings on the weekends expect a line and go in with some patience. ”

“ Always great coffee! They remember my order even though it's an unusual one. The atmosphere is more modern minimalist, it's clean and has adequate seating ”

“ Cool spot. They have a giant liquid nitrogen tank & roaster that are epic looking. I really enjoyed their iced oat-milk matcha latte. It’s the most hipster looking coffee shop in the high desert (in a good way). Staff were friendly. Wish they had more comfortable seating. ”

“ After looking at these reviews I couldn’t not leave one myself. The owners are nothing but nice and greeting to my family and I. Their coffee is the best I’ve had, not watered down, isn’t filled with sugar and just overall is delicious. I understand that they do look tired but keep in mind that they’re working hard to satisfy their customers. ”

“ High quality coffee, their matcha wasn’t too sweet, honestly I’m really impressed by the coffee as this feels like a place I’d find in LA, not Apple Valley. The pricing was also super reasonable. The service was really great, I like how they put the straw in for me, and the atmosphere was really nice. It’s no wonder they had a line out the door— the only suggestion I’d have is longer hours as they close on 3-4pm most days, but otherwise, really great place, will absolutely go again and tell my friends about it, the quality definitely speaks for itself. ”

“ Amazing coffee and even better people! The handcrafted coffee and homemade pastries are absolutely incredible here! My favorite coffee spot I have ever tried(and I try a coffee shop in every place I visit)! Plus the owners are so friendly and always remember their customers! They make you feel welcome and like family! I love how they curate a special menu every month too. Some of my favorites on the permanent menu are the charcoal latte and the maple salt latte but literally everything is good! ”

“ I drive about 30 minutes to have coffee at this wonderful coffee shop! I have never had such a delish coffee, I love coffee but this place will top any coffee you have ever had! I finally had a chance to have a pastry, they are usually sold out by the time I arrive. My favorite is salted maple latte! I also tried the iced hazelnut mocha, when I tell you the drinks are so rich and delicious you must try!! ”
